About me – Your legal counsel

Law Firm

Law has always been my great passion. From my high school years, I focused on economics and law, and after completing training as a shipping merchant in Hamburg—where I reviewed numerous charter parties—I went on to study law at the University of Hamburg, specializing in international business relations.

My legal career took me to Brussels during my legal clerkship, where I worked on legal matters for the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the EU’s Committee of the Regions, assisting the Minister for Economic Affairs. After passing the second state examination and a brief detour into the world of musicals (working in the legal department of Broadway Musical Management), I returned to Southern Germany and took my first position at HSM Pressen GmbH & Co. KG, a globally operating industrial company with 500 employees at the time, where I established the legal department.

Driven by the challenge of running my own law firm and embracing the independence of being a self-employed lawyer, I began offering legal advice to internationally operating companies as an attorney at Krafft, Gschwind & Schroeder law firm. During this time, I also qualified as a specialist lawyer in German labor law.

Five years later, I transitioned to the role of Contract Manager, and a few years after that, I became General Counsel at Zeppelin Systems GmbH, a global company with 1,600 employees worldwide at the time. As General Counsel, I was responsible for legal, commercial, insurance, and compliance matters, overseeing a team of six employees across multiple locations. Despite this corporate role, I continued to advise foreign companies on German Employment law, offering insights and legal solutions for their operations in Germany.

During this time, I learned that I consistently achieved above-average success in negotiations, particularly when it came to defending against claims or asserting my own legal claims. These experiences have refined my ability to navigate complex legal challenges effectively and strategically.

Additionally, one of my key strengths is simplifying complex legal matters and making them understandable. This ability is something I am regularly complimented on by clients, as it enables them to make informed decisions and navigate legal issues with confidence

After 10 years, I decided to transition into the IT industry and became Head of Legal at Avira GmbH & Co. KG with a team of 4 employees. Avira GmbH & Co. KG is now part of Norton LifeLock. During this time, I further deepened my knowledge of IT law, completing a specialized course to become a Certified IT Law Specialist and earning the title of Digital Legal Counsel

Over the past 25 years, I have focused my work on a field that I am truly passionate about: advising, training, and supporting executives and employees in solving problems and minimizing risks. This has been a continuous thread throughout my career, and I remain dedicated to helping companies navigate complex legal challenges

Due to organizational restructuring, I made the decision to return to practicing law with my own firm, where I now advise both domestic and international SME companies. For foreign clients, I specialize in all matters related to German employment law, while for German companies, I focus on contract law and offer tailored training on contractual issues.

As a business mediator and coach, I am dedicated to finding fair solutions and fostering effective communication. My goal is to facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties involved, ensuring that business disputes are resolved in a constructive and positive manner.

Another great passion of mine is painting, which has been a part of my life for over 10 years. In 2024, I was honored to be recognized as a visual artist by the Professional Association of Visual Artists, a recognition that underscores my dedication to the arts www.kunst-rose.de

My painting is expressive, figurative, and often infused with humor. The themes I explore primarily focus on everyday scenes and the dynamics of relationships, bringing a unique perspective to these familiar aspects of life http://www.kunst-rose.de

I have a deep affection for my two dogs, Emma, a Labrador, and Ecki, a Golden Doodle, who enrich my life and the lives of my family members. As an animal lover, animal rights are very important to me, and I am dedicated to advocating for their protection and well-being.
